All our classes are held by fully licensed EMS Paramedics who understand the importance of quick response in emergency situations. Certification is provided from Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada as well as Gold Standard CPR.

heartsaver CPRHeartsaver CPR / AED Provider Level (C)

The Heartsaver Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) course contains up-to-date content from the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada Guidelines for CPR. This course is designed to teach lay rescuers the lifesaving skills of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and relief of choking in adults, children and infants, as well as how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) with both adults and children.

Participants learn to recognize and treat emergencies such as cardiac arrest, heart attack, stroke, and choking.

  • Helping a choking adult, child and infant

Approximate Course Length:3-4 Hours

Target Group

This course is open to the general public who require a CPR Level C certification

healthcare provider cprBLS for Healthcare Providers Level (C)

The Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider course skills taught are 1- and 2-rescuer adult, child and infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), choking, automated external defibrillator (AED) training and the use of bag valve mask (BVM). This is the preferred course for anyone practicing or studying within the health field (medical students, therapists, nurses, dental assistants ect.)
BLS Course Content

  • Critical concepts of high quality CPR
  • One and two rescuer CPR for adult, child and infant
  • One and two rescuer AED for adult, child and infant
  • Bag valve mask techniques for adult, child and infant
  • Rescue breathing for adult, child and infant
  • Relief of choking for adult, child and infant

ACLS for Healthcare Providers Level (C)ACLS Healthcare Provider CPR

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is a video-based, Instructor-led, advanced course, builds on the foundation of basic life support (BLS) skills. It emphasizes the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR and takes healthcare provider training to the next level- highlighting the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes.
Intended Audience:
The Heart and Stroke Foundations ACLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, and paramedics, as well as others who need an ACLS course completion card for job or other requirements.
The course is designed to give students the opportunity to practice and demonstrate proficiency in the following skills used in resuscitation:
  •  Systematic approach
  •  High-quality BLS
  •  Airway management
  •  Rhythm recognition
  •  Defibrillation
  •  Intravenous (IV)/intraosseous (IO) access (information only)
  •  Use of medications
  •  Cardioversion
  •  Transcutaneous pacing
  •  Team dynamics
Students will practice the application of these and other skills in simulated cases and will practice both Team Leader and team member roles.
ACLS Course Duration: Course duration’s provided are based upon a student-instructor ratio for learning stations of 6:1, and does not include additional times needed for breaks or transitions, or additional students.

The current recommended timeline for renewal of the ACLS course completion card is every 2 years.
